• Java EE Developer - Engineering Services

Java EE Developer - Engineering Services

In this role you will bring your Java EE and ICEfaces skills to bear in customer-facing consulting work. You will engage in everything from training to full solutions development, with a strong focus on ICEfaces related aspects of development. You will be exposed to a wide range of Java development technologies used by our customers, and will need to be confident, agile and knowledgeable during face to face engagements. Broad in-depth experience with Java EE technologies, and excellent communication skills are a must for this position.

Key logistical requirements for this role include:

• Canadian or US citizenship so that you can perform consulting work in the US under the NAFTA rules.
• Willingness to travel (mostly to the US). Travel requirements for this position will be around 30-40%.
• Ability and willingness to telecommute with Calgary-based head office. There is no need to relocate to Calgary.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
• Confidence and agile thinking with respect to varying customer-specific development environments and technologies.

Key technical requirements for this role include:

• Strong Java EE skills with a broad knowledge of technologies from persistence layer to presentation layer.
• Extensive experience with presentation layer technologies: Direct experience with JSF, ICEfaces and Ajax is preferred.
• Experience with middleware technologies like Struts, Spring,
• Hibernate, Seam.
• Experience with web application technologies including DHTML and CSS.
• Experience with a variety of Java application servers including JBoss, Tomcat, Websphere, Weblogic, Oracle, Glassfish, ...
• Experience with Java IDEs including NetBeans, Eclipse, JDeveloper, OC4J, RAD.
